I agree! Wow, my vet would have never said let's just wait 24 hours. No way. Lot's of options would have been layed out on the table right then. An x-ray would have been one of the first things to do after it was determined if there were live pups. I wouldn't wait either, and if you do not have another vet to get to, you do have a right to insist they do something to help your girl immediately.
