I could have been misinformed but I was told by a vet that giving steroids with a vaccine makes the vaccine useless. It was when Joey had a reaction and I rushed him to a different local vet the was still open. The vet said that they could do a Benadryl shot and a steroid shot but that the steroid would make the vaccine useless. I have one that has reactions so we do Benadryl and then a pain medicine.
