We do pretty much the same, except we use a puppy no-tears shampoo from Petsmart as well as a conditioner. The Chi conditioner does a good job and smells great! We wrap her like a burrito in the towel and use an ear drying product (Zymox) to help prevent ear yeast infections. Then we use a blow dryer on low flow and try to keep her distracted while we're blow-drying her. Of course, she behaves perfectly when she's at the groomer's
