It can be really important for our dogs to feel secure and contented in their crate, especially when you are dealing with workmen and they are coming and going in and out the doors or there's an emergency of some kind, toddlers are visiting or the dog is crate-confined during rehab. Tibbe often self-crates in his airline carrier between the den couch and wall and snores away when I'm up and busy. At times, he leaves the bed and finishes his sleep there if he's heard a noise outside he feels he must monitor.
