Here's a link to an article about tylan powder and dosing: Tylan Powder for Dogs - Indications, Dosage, Side Effects, and More . They recommend 5 to 10 mg per pound, so for a three pound dog, that would be 15 to 30 milligrams. It can be sprinkled in the food if the dog will eat it. Otherwise, you might have to put it in capsules. It's hard to guess what 15 to 30 milligrams will look like when measured in a spoon. Your best bet would be to take the bottle of powder and a set of measuring spoons to your vet, and weigh out 15 to 30 milligrams on their scales and see what size measuring spoon it fills. It could be as small as 1/8 teaspoon, but you won't know unless you weight it out.
