I is an stand alone appliance... I use it for rice, slowing cooking etc. In fact I got it to replace my rice pot lol
The Instant Pot is a word of mouth marketing pronominal success!!
But any of the new multi use electric pressure cookers are great.
I don't want to repeat myself but it has made my cooking life simpler. I can cook a nice meal from frozen in a reasonable time. Beans (legumes) are simple and fast. ok I will stop.
