This lady and her dog have collected over $25,000.00 for her little Yorkie! She has all kinds of people contacting her for vqarious sums of money, so dog related requests and some apparently from people in the community needing money.... Then there are the people that contributed to the cause, have seen her now paying for other dogs vaccinations and heartworm meds, and they are concerned in her effort to "paw it forward", she is using money that was sent to make sure Ezio's extensive medical care will be paid for, is now going to help others in the community. Such a compassionate gesture, but her own dog, the hero of the story, the one that moved all of us to send her money, will find himself short on cash once again, a year from now, when additional medical bills are incurred. I had emailed her and suggested she put that money in an account for Ezio, Hero Yorkie, and then when HE is 100% and does not need any more surgeries, or therapy a year or so down the road, THEN she could consider "pawing it forward", through reputable sources, like her vet or I suggested YHR for donations, especially since YHR is in her community. We will see where this ends up. Ezio seems to be doing much better....successful surgeries, so far, and now needing therapy for curling under foot on the weak left side of his body....He is so precious!. |
