My Dexter had a reaction to his shots when he got them when he was a year old. He would lay on my lap, very lethargic and he literally screamed in pain when I just petted him softly. I told the vet and he said he'd give him a pain shot before his next vaccines. So he did and he was not in pain the next time, but he had an allergic reaction and got covered in itchy hives all over his little body, his eyes swelled shut! NOWWWWW.... he gets a shot of pain reliever, a shot of benedryl, and his vacs, all at the same time. LOL

Speaking of, after a quiet 3 years, we go for shots this month! YIKES!
