I don't think you need to worry. Just watch her so you can tell the vet what she's doing. I would wait till after New Years if there's no pain, and she's acting normally. I'm not a vet, and mine doesn't have a hop...but I would have your vet look at it. I'm hoping someone else sees this and can help you more than me!!!
Theres a few threads on Luxating Patellas... I don't know if your pup is hopping like that or not, but look at them and see if it's the same or not. There's also a few videos showing dogs with the hop (Luxating Patellas) on you tube that you can watch... I hope it's just a quirk your pup is doing. If you want to look and see what Luxating Patellas are, it might help you.
