I learned from Animal Planet show about how to write the mixes. Fathers breed first then mothers breed to make hybrid name.
Male Lion w Female Tiger = Liger cubs
Male Tiger w Female Lion = Tigalon cubs
Male Yorkie w Female Maltese = Yorktese
Male Maltese w Female Yorkie = Morkie
