Congratulations and welcome to Yorkie Talk. You will find your yorkie will eventually settle down and become one of the family. Keep in mind it will take months (plural) for this new dog to feel comfortable with you, your family and the new living quarters. Try not to look for too much too soon. Just take it day at a time.

With regards to lies from the seller. Well, unfortunately that's all too much the norm these days. When we found Bailey on Craigslist, we were told he was up to date on his shots and was in great shape. I asked for the location of their vet, we got the address, we went right over. Turns out, the location we were given was a field. That put up the red flags.

The next morning we went to our vet only to find he had mange, tapeworms and parasites. Within 30 days that boy was healthy, happy and one of us. As for "potty mistakes" Bailey doesn't tell us either. We pretty much have him on a routine and he is walked 3 times a day around the neighborhood. The neighbors may not know our name, but everyone knows his.

So, take time and you'll have a great and loyal companion.
