Well, that sucks anytimes, but especially on Christmas!
I had my furnace break down one year on Christmas eve, and couldn't get anyone out for a couple of days to fix it, so I know how you feel. During that time I was told that moist air feels warmer than cold, so to put a pan of water to boil on my stove & keep it going & to keep an eye on it & keep the water topped up. I really do believe it made a difference. I guess an electric humidifer would do the same to, but I didn't have one at the time.
Hoping you getting a fill-up soon! Merry Christmas to you & yours
