I wrote this on another similar thread. Based on all the classified ads I see on Craigslist for yorkie adoption from mothers with young babies, I don't think a yorkie is a good dog for a young child. Most every ad I read says pretty much the same thing: having to give up 1 year old yorkie. Not getting along with my child. Or: Yorkie for adoption, new baby hurt yorkie and we must find yorkie new home. Then it most always states: prefer she go to family without young children.
Based on all the ads I read, I'm thinking a yorkie isn't a good fit for a young child. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth. |
