I think that the article is wonderful dogs in shelters that can make good service, therapy companion or search plus rescue canines. In my households there are two trained service dogs where one was trained by an organization and the other was adopted from a local shelter. Buster was certified as a companion dog for me and does things that my 76 lb canine can not due. It is a wonderul feeling to rescue a dog from a shelter that could become a companion for someone and I love the work in training shelter dogs.
