1) Make sure you have pre-op blood work done on her. Your vet should be recommending this to help to uncover if your pup has certain medical conditions that could put her at risk.

2) Ensure your vet is experienced with anesthetic for small breeds

The downside of not have the teeth removed is the potential for serious gum infections and problems that will be both costly for you and painful for her. If your current vet does not give you a high degree of confidence find a new one to have her baby teeth removed (which BTW I understand is not as "significant" as pulling an adult tooth)
