That was the question that came to my mind too. If he wsa meaning that the yorkie standard is that they not be over 7 pounds that would be totally different. A pic would help.

Here is a quick read to help determine if your pet is overweight: How to Tell if Your Pet is Overweight It explains to look for the waist, "tuck" and rib cage. I had to go to the 4th site about how to determine if a dog is overweight before I found one without specifically WRONG info on yorkies. Some said they should be an average of 8 pounds and another had teacups, toy, minature, and standard listed. Too much bad info onlin especially about yorkies.
