Default On our walk today

It's been super hot here lately and people will usually walk their dogs in the late evening. I took Tila for a walk tonight and we met a woman walking a rottie, and two smaller dogs. She was on one side of the street and we were on the other side. She stopped and yelled across the street to ask what kind of dog Tila was and how old she was. So we're yelling across the street at one another and Tila's looking at the other dogs and she starts whining and squealing. She's not scared and she doesn't bark at other dogs, but she gets excited and wants to play and meet every dog she sees. She seriously sounds like a squealing piglet sometimes. Does anyone know what I might be able to try to get her to be less vocal? Also Tila looks like a yorkie? I get asked all the time what kind of dog she is, maybe it's because of her coloring? Thanks. I wasn't sure if I should post this here or the training section.
