Im sorry that this is happening to you, It is heartbreaking to see your pet get ill like this.
I have never owned a cat so I havn't got any experience but the best thing you can do right now is take your vets advice.
Its a horrible feeling knowing that you could help them if you had the money but you simply cant afford it. (If you have any other pets I would urge you to insure them)
All you can do now is follow instructions from your vet and try and keep your kitty comfertable and warm.
