I have several yorkies when I was working full time and they were fine. How old will he be? How big? If he is tiny he will need to eat frequently, so it's best if you can have someone feed him at noon time if you can't. If not, make sure he has eaten before you leave and leave some food down for him. As far as going potty, you can keep him in a crate or pen and put bedding on one side and a pee pad on the other. Some Yorkies do get separation anxiety when left but I have never had one that did. I don't think they would have a heart attack either. What I do when I first get a puppy is leave every few hours the first few days so they get use to you coming and going. Make sure you have Nutrical on hand in case of a low sugar problem. Congratulations and you will do fine. |
