Sounds fishy.
For one if she was just popping in for a few things why bring the dog with her knowing she was just going to leave him in a hot car? why not just leave him at home where it is more comfertable for him?
Also like other's have mentioned how come her sister or anyone else for that matter didn't see this happening and try to stop the theif?
I find it hard to believe that the carpark was completley empty.
To be honest if she thinks its ok to leave a dog in a red hot car then she didn't deserve him anyway and I hope he is now with a more responsible owner.
