I was watching the news here just a few minutes ago and WSBTV ran a story about a dog being stolen out of a Wal Mart parking lot. It's not on the web site yet, but if I find it, I will post it.
Evidently, a woman ran into a Cobb Co. Wal Mart for "just a couple things" and had her car broken in to and her "prize winning Shorkie" (is there such a thing?) stolen. She said she left the window cracked and that her sister was parked 2 stalls down.
Now, I totally understand this woman being upset that her dog is missing. But WHY would you leave your dog unintended in nearly 100 degree weather? And why would your sister not notice someone breaking in to your car?
BTW, the woman is upset because while the police are reviewing security footage, the spokesman said if a police officer had seen the dog in the car she would have been charged with animal cruelty. She kept saying "that's ridiculous!"
I just don't get some people.
