There are two towns in TX with the same name, Bryan! The one the original post is about is in Wise County.

The one you are referring to honestly does not sound right. I cannot see Animal Control doing daily visits...and, the only way I think they can test an animal is to euthanize it and do tests on the brain. Also, if there was a rabid dog in the Bryan in Brazos County, it would be on the news. Rabies is reportable. I cannot find any reports of a case there.
