Lately, our humane society has been running regular ads about spay/neuter, one showing a girl whose job it is to euthanize animals. It's very sad but I think those things have an effect.
Just to let you know, for our tri-county area, about 16,000 animals are PTS annually. The vast majority (about 70%) are cats. They are a real problem here as no one seems to think much about cats and there are many, many stray cats. We even have feral colonies in some areas in the cities. So many problems and so few resources..... |
