Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?
Do you think it could have been an aneurism? (not quite sure of the spelling)

I didn't read any of the other replies. But I just want to tell you I can tell you I know how you feel. My girl Stormy ( may she rest in peace ) passed away on July 13th, in a very similar situation. At first I thought it may of been my other dog who "killed" her but after much thought and talking to my hubby about what happen, it is exactly what you are exactly saying. It was within a few mins after the yelp that she passed away.

This was not the first time we had this happen, when she came to us just 8 months earlier then this incident she suffered from two grand mal seizures that happen the exact same way. She would let out a yelp, go totally limp, was not breathing but her heart was going. Those times we did CPR and took her outside into the cool air and it snapped her out of it. We didn't have many tests run at the time but the vet said she was having seizures. I say it was due to a new home and stress. She was a very delict little girl. She was only 2 when she died. The day she passed my hubby was home alone with out dogs and our daughter, no car to go to the vet and he was in a panic.

I am not sure if thats what took your babies life but it is very similar, may she rest in peace now.
