I think you need to read the story to better inform yourself about what happened and the outcome. The puppy which was only weeks old was PTS, the owner was in jail on parole violations from gun charges, and the parents were caring for the puppy while the owner was in jail.
They are currently being charged with Felony Child Endangerment and Neglect.
