I am so sorry to hear about Lily.

Those early shots may not take as the maternal antibodies they get from nursing interfere with them. Puppies are 16-18 weeks before they can really respond to vaccinations so they are at a very high risk for deadly puppy diseases like distemper and parvo.

Did your vet know if he treated any cases of distemper around the time Lily had her vet appointment?

Distemper is mostly seen in pet store puppies who are taken from their mothers too soon and in close quarters with many other dogs.

I am so sorry. I pray she will pull through.
