Joey P has some great advice. That's pretty much exactly what worked for me.
If it's done every day, with something delicious, she will very soon find it a pleasurable experience. Really, really important not to pull any tangles though!
Mine now runs and jumps on my lap as soon as she sees the brush come out... she will actually follow me around the house when I'm carrying it, as if it were a tasty treat.
But it's important at first to ensure that she is comfortable with having the brush near her, before it is used on her.
