time backtracking looking for one or two I just gave up. They don't stay

Here I am in the south with moderate temps and a much warmer house than I prefer at night and my husband worries about Bailey getting cold? He's already started covering his crate plus he added an extra pillow for him to sleep on! I asked him just the other night what was he going to do when it really gets cold and maybe have a power outage. He'd never make it where some of you guys live and right now the temp outside is 54 and our furnace is set at 73! We play games with the thermostat year round. Drives me nuts!
