Sorry, I read that part, but it didn't sink in--LOL. here is my opinion: If you trust them to take care of your dog, then you can do no more than to take her and her belongings over there, such as her food, toys, crate, a t-shirt, whatever. You can take the baby gate over there, too, and mention something like, "I thought you may want this to keep her out of off limit areas, etc."
At her age, a few hours in a crate each day won't bother her. Also, with her being in a strange place, and around people she may not know as well, she may actually prefer being closed in the crate vs. just being gated in an area. Crating really does minimize anxiety. It will also prevent her (maybe) from chewing on their door frames, as we all know young puppies will do.
When Baxter (my first Yorkie) was a puppy, he would jump in his crate every morning as I put my shoes on, and wait until I closed the door. On days I couldn't come home for lunch, I closed him in the bathroom, with a radio. He cried and cried and scratched, and always seemed more antsy when I got home, he really did prefer his crate. Baxter and Cooper still both go to their crates to sleep at night when mean Mom and Dad won't go to bed when they think it is time
