It's very difficult to say if anyone you sell one of your puppies to is a broker or not. I do ask to speak to 3 references and also their past vets office (and I do call them). I also have a pretty extensive puppy adoption questionaire. Sometimes people are more rushed them others and I find that some people just don't get as excited as I would. The best thing I can say to offer advice is "If you don't get a good feeling about a buyer then don't let them have one of your babies". You have to trust your intuition!
I do stay in contact with my babies new families, but I try not to bug them. I have been very lucky and for the most part we stay in contact over the phone, emails, or visits. I do love to see them grow up and get new pictures. |
