Lucy did this and outgrew it at around 8 months. I didn't reprimand her or anything for it because I didn't want her to associate her excitement to see me with a reprimand. It all worked out in the end. I love her so much that if she hadn't outgrown it I would have just dealt with it because I am as excited as she is when I get home and love to see her so animated!
