I would bet she is expressing a little anger about you being so busy. However I did once have a cat who started going in the house next to me and it turned out he had stones, I guess it was his way of alerting me that there was a problem.
I will say the one thing that has saved my sanity with housebreaking is the litterbox, because he will always go back to it if we don't get him outside in time. I would like to eventually get rid of it completely but not sure how we will ever get there.
