Crystal, one thing you might check for that could be causing this is bladder or kidney stones. Dogs with compromised livers are prone to these and they can be very painful to the little dogs. Is her urine normal looking? If she pees on a potty pad and the urine is dark yellow or has a tiny drop of blood then that is a indication of stones.
