When I lost my beloved cocker spaniel a couple years ago I knew I couldnt replace him at all but I did get another dog right away...it eased my pain and gave me something else to think about..the pain was unbearable but a new puppy made my life whole again...to each their own and you will know when you are ready..I knew I could never have another cocker again so I changed breeds..although I dont think Ill ever be able to live without a yorkie in my life again lol..I am sorry for your loss and I know the pain you are feeling right now..
