 Scooter has Tonsilitis
Well, call me stupid, but I didn't know dogs had tonsils...never really thought about it. The vet says Scooter's are red and swollen. He gave him an injection of 2 different medications and gave me Clavimox to give him twice a day until it's all gone. He said the meds should clear up the problem, but, if the coughing doesn't clear up w/the antibiotics, he'll x-ray to check on the trachea. He checked him thoroughly...I know that Scooter's too young really for Congestive Heart Failure, but I asked the Vet to check him for that too. We lost our little boy, Chipper, to CHF and I'm so nervous when Scooter coughs. He said his heart was just fine, no murmer. Thank you all for your prayers!! Hugs to each of you for caring. |
