Getting a puppy for the first time at any age can be overwhelming. Especially a yorkie. Be consistent with training is the best advice I can give you. Let the baby sleep in a crate at night. Once trained completely then you can let her sleep where you want. But crate training is the easiest route to take.
If you are really consistent about taking that baby outside to potty..you will be ok..but many can be out side a long time, then come inside to potty in the house. Praise big time when potty is done in the right place. Treats work great, giving treats only on those times also helps.
If you cannot be home, Do Not leave the puppy free in the house, they can get into so much trouble and possible harm. I would put her in an xpen when I cannot be there with a pp pad, water and food. Then when you are not home you do not have to worry about safety.
Hope this helps. Pooh's mum
