No way
I got my maltese Emma when she was just over 7 months old and she bonded with us very quickly. She bonded with my husband immediately, and within a couple of days, she was stuck to me like glue too
I am so happy that we got her at this age. She was perfect! She was potty trained, spayed, and very sweet
