Just some thoughts for you...
I can't tell you how many people have approached me on ebay to make a deal for my items for wholesale. I currently work with several. Ebay might be a good place to start looking. If you see something you like, email the person and ask if they would cut you a little deal if you bought a few items in bulk. A lot of people wouldn't turn that down. It's good for you especially since you could make much more on those items in a shop or mall kiosk than they are selling them for on ebay (there is just so much competition on ebay!). Then you could offer more unique items, and not just commercial items that are all over the internet. There is a lady in our local mall that just started what you want to do, all of her stuff is unique and handmade, she said she does VERY well selling it. Another way to get started is to take things on consignment, people tell you what they want for their items, you mark up the price a percentage so you can profit too. I do that with a lady that travels to dog shows (she specializes in gourmet dog treats). She cuts me a check when any of my outfits sell, if it doesn't sell she sends it back to me.

Good luck! I have thought of doing a kiosk myself one day.
