Tami,

My Go-Go would get lose stools everytime she showed. It would happen just before ring time, sometimes right outside the ring. The weekend she Championed, I got the scare of my life. She got the trots again, but it was followed by bright blood. Cleaned her up, gave her meds. My mentor insisted that it was the food I was feeding. I was sure it wasn't because it only happened on show weekends. Took her to the vets on the Monday following the show. Explained to the doc what had been happening. Did some testing to rule out anything out of the ordinary (nothing found), but at
the same time explained that since it was happening only on show weekends, it was due to nerves, yep she had show jitters. He gave me Flagyl and told me to give her a quarter tablet starting on the morning we were travel and 1 a day while we were on the road. Did this until she was retired from the ring, she never had a problem again.
